状態:経年による大きな傷や剥がれは見られず、漆の艶も十分に保たれている。使われてきた時間が、静かな深みとなって表れている。
由来:木箱に「輪島塗 椀」と墨書きあり。輪島産であることが確認できる。
蓋には金蒔絵で菊と竹が、椀本体には朱漆の梅と金の竹が描かれている。梅・菊・竹を組み合わせた吉祥文様は、ハレの席のために誂えられたものだろう。蓋の内側にも竹と草花の繊細な蒔絵が施されており、開けるたびに静かな驚きがある。螺鈿の小さな輝きが、漆黒の中にアクセントとして点在する。2客揃い、木箱付き。

Condition: The lacquer retains its depth and sheen. Minor signs of age only.
Provenance: Original wooden storage box inscribed "Wajima-nuri Wan."
The lids carry gold chrysanthemums and bamboo; the bowls, plum blossoms in vermilion against black. Open the lid, and there is more — bamboo and wildflowers rendered in fine gold, a quiet reward. Small raden accents catch the light. An auspicious gathering of motifs, made for occasions worth remembering. Comes as a pair, with original wooden storage box.
