黒漆の地に、雪の輪が金で描かれている。金粉の濃淡を使い分けることで、輪の内と外に異なる光の質を与えている。江戸千家家元十世・川上閑雪宗匠が選んだ御好品であり、宗匠の花押がその証として添えられている。木箱、販売チラシ、作歴付き。

Condition: Lacquer and maki-e in excellent condition. No notable damage.
Provenance: Selected as a preferred piece (okonomi) by Kawakamikan'setsu, 10th Grand Master of the Edosenke school of tea ceremony, with his personal seal affixed. Created by a maki-e artist who received the top prize at the Traditional Craft Wajima Lacquerware Exhibition. Original wooden storage box with signature and seal, sales document, and artist's résumé included.
Rings of snow in gold — two tones of gold powder used to give each ring its own quality of light. This piece was chosen by the Grand Master of one of Japan's oldest tea schools, his seal pressed to the document that accompanies it.
